Javier Fuentes (he/him) is a student at the University of Maryland studying Public Policy and Social Data Science. Growing up in Prince George’s County, Maryland, he felt empowered by his diverse community to lead advocacy efforts for environmental justice and climate solutions. During his first year, Javier interned for ecoLatinos, where he helped improve equitable access to environmental education, and he currently serves as a Volunteer Director of 17 for Peace and Justice. In addition, Javier enjoys reading, journaling, and keeping up with the latest music releases.
